A Capital arm is earned on a balance sheet of its own. This vertical has none: what capital it draws on is Gord Capital's, on the parent's permanent terms, and pretending otherwise would put a second set of books into a group whose whole argument is that there is one.
So the property holds the name, states the test, and points at the office that actually underwrites. When the vertical carries its own balance sheet, one word changes in the register and this page becomes a mandate instead of a gate.
